Distribution List Security

I'm running Exch2000 & Outlook 2000 and have a number of distribution lists setup in AD. The problem is users are able to modify these within Outlook (right click entry in address book, properties, modify etc.) I do not want the user to be able to modify any entries in the global address book.

I've looked around the AD and Exch Manager but cannot see how to do this.

did you check the permissions on the Distribution Lists, like who has access to it.
