I have tried to find an answer to this one. If I missed it in my search, please point me to the right link. Thanks!

We have just brought up two remote IP Office ver 4 setups, with the Advanced SCN license. Our CEO is going to maintain an office at both locations, and would like his phone to ring simultaneously at both locations.

I have decided it seems easiest to point his DID to a hunt group which will ring collectively, however when I try to add the remote extension I am only given the option to add the local extension, not the remote one.

Any suggestions on how I might add the remote extension as well for this hunt group? Thanks!!

Rob

Check to see if your Advanced Network License is valid. You should be able to see your other systems when you are in the hunt group and click add.

Also why not do internal twinning or have him login and out of his extension between offices?

Internal twinning, I saw that, but didn't think about it in this case.

I have checked, and the SCN license is valid on both sites, but i can only see the site I am working on when making the hunt groups. I know the SCN has to be working, because we have quite a few numbers on one side which need to be moved to the PRI on the other, and calls are being routed correctly.

As for hot desking, we have just moved from a Magix system to the IPO. Phone Manager is not rolling out until everyone is up to speed on their new basic abilities with the new system. I am not dealing with a tech savy group, unfortunately.

I just looked at Twinning for the user, and I cannot see the extensions on the other site there, either. I am thinking there is an issue with the SCA. Anyone else ever seen this? It is listes Advanced SCA license valid on both sites, and the sites are talking to each other on some level.

Look in SSA and see if it lists the SCN as up in the Trunk section. It is possible that SCN is not up but your short codes are getting calls where they need to be.

Why not give him a login? Then he can log in at either sites and every thing will follow him?
DDi will be the same.
Internal Extension will be the same.

You have to check the boxes off for advertise groups. Then they show up on the remote IPO..
