Dear All,

we have 5 IPO (v11) networked using SCN, each system has licenses of 4 Voice Networking. Connectivity between branches are perfectly alright for inbound and outbound calls. we are using Fortigate firewall for VPN between branches.

We have done SCN between IPOs because my customer wants the incoming calls of Head office( Main IPO) Number to ring simultaneously on all branch office receptions and Head office reception (5remote extensions). It worked for few days. One day i cant see the remote systems and its extensions under HG edit Screen to add to Hunt Group. Then i have deleted the SCNs and reprogrammed then works fine for few weeks, today it happened again for one remote location and rest is fine. What could be the problem? please help

You can try setting up the SCN line as a web socket instead of proprietary. Ever since R11 came out, and I think even with R10, I have found web socket to be far more reliable then the regular proprietary line.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

Are you opening ALL configuratuons at one using SCN mode in manager or are you trtying to edit configs individualy?

What's your UDP timeout set to on the fortigates? I have this same setup running across 5 sites with SonicWall firewalls, all IPOs on v11.0.4 set to Proprietary SCN trunks without any issues.

What is your license congestion count during these hiccups? Does it show congestion? (not enough talk paths)

If you call extension to HG, does it work just fine? From each site?

Is it only External-->HG calls?

@IPGuru, I didn't understand your question, I configured each PABX separately
But HG editing only possible from Primary SCN.

@critchey
I didnt tried WebSocket till now, i have seen that there are some server/ client relation. no idea how to do that, Could you please advice on that

@nnaarrnn
UDP time out something that i will double-check, thanks

during these issues, if I dial HG number, it will ring only a few of the members, because those IPOs are disconnected from the SCN, i cant see their extensions under HG edit section. but I can call that extension directly, but cant adds to the HG.

No LIcense congestion reported

I have these issues for both internal and external calls to HG

This may be the cause of your problems

if you open the configurations using SCN mode you get all systems in the SCN displayed in amanger at the same time.

in manager go to preferences then select the discovery tab

In the search criteria box enter the IP address of each system seperated by a semi-colon ;
Enable SCN discovery
Ensure that the UDP broardcast address is 255.255.255.255

when you go to open the config Manager will list all sysstems individualy with an additional tick box to select them all.
(It helps if each system has the same log in credentials but is not essential)
Even if this does not resolve your current issue it should be used whan making any changes in an SCN as manager is then aware of all users and groups and their locations.

Setting up a websocket SCN is pretty simple. Create the IPO line. Go to transport type and change one side to Websocket client and one side to Websocket server. Create a password and make it match on both lines.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

@Critchey
Thank you i have tried that already, and systems are running in websocket type, also all systems version in same lelvel. This issue is under observation
@IPGuru
useful information you have provided thanks, will check that as well

Thank you all, I have made all IPOs are same version, and used websocket for SCN networking, So far no issues reported
Problem Solved

Glad to hear you resolved your issue. If there were helpful posts a pink star would be greatly appreciated by those that tried to help you.
