Hi Everyone,
One of our customer would like to see if a call is coming as twinned call from phone system or someone is calling him directly. Like if its twin it says "twin>1234567890" or "fwd>1234567890" or something different then just showing phone number. So that he knows if its a personnel call or a company call, so he can answer them accordingly. Any help will be appreciated.

Go to System/Twinning and input the number that you want to show up when a twinned call is received. If left blank it will show the caller's number. We put all 7's in that field so we know it's a twinned call, downside is you don't see the caller's callerID at all. I'm not sure about forwarding.

Thanks for the reply 94astro, but they need to see the number as well. is there any other option that you can suggest.

So you want when someone calls a cell phone it sends their DID so the cell phone receives a specific DID and can match a name in its contacts? If so this is what I did:

In the ARS table I have all your standard shortcodes but I add the cell phones of the people I need to send DIDs to. This way when an IPO user makes a call to that particular number it sends the DID, but when any other call it sends the main number

so I have as a short example:

1xxxxxxxxxx/1NsMAINNUMBER/Dial/0
1CELLNUMBER/1Ns123456E/Dial/0

Works great for me if this is what you are looking for. the user has to enter all of the DIDs of the users he wants to see in the cell phone. I actually have another ARS route that is set up similar but uses a different DID other than the Main number that I have in my contacts as "Customer Call"

I do agree that its nice to know if its twinned or a direct call to cell and forwarding the originating number can't differentiate. This is my compromise.

no its just to see if every twin call get notified differently, but still be able to see the number.
