Distinctive Ring Patterns

Hello All,
according the manual the distinctive ring patterns used for other than analog phones are fixed through manager administration.
I wonder does it means we cant change the default ones in Avaya 56xx ip phones?
We need to find a smart way to have different ring patterns in 5610 phones for outside and inside calls. The default ones looks very similar to our customer and i think hes right.
Any ideas ?

internal and external calls do ring differently, one is longer, cant remember which though

There is a subtle difference between the way each ring breaks in internal vs external calls. Some rings may be easier to tell than others i would just play with the different rings but it does take some getting use to before being able to know if the call is internal or external by sound.

I know but those patterns are similar. Is it possible to change them? What about the other 7 ring patterns inside the 56xx phone menu options ?

You can change them but they change as a pair, internal is one long ring, external is two shorter rings, some are easier to distinguish than others but you can't have one for internal and one completely different for external
