I have MySQL,PHP and Apache installed on my wrk box and using No-IP for DNS forwarding. Here is the thing, I can visit my PHP NUKE site using admin.php at the end of the URL but when i just use my dns forwarding addres it shows me the contents of my actual web directory.

Is there somehow to tell apache i want the home page to be index.php and also can i turn off folder browsing?

Check for the DirectoryIndex command in httpd.conf

Add index.php to it and your set.

You'd have to add admin.php unless you actually have an index.php. Or add index.php and create a symlink.

Eric,

Is it possible for you to go into some detail about
this symlink. I am completely a noob with php so any
and all info is greatly appreciated....Thnx

Just add 'admin.php' to the DirectoryIndex command in httpd.conf, then you don't need a symlink.

A symlink is just a 'windows shortcut' or 'mac alias' for unix.
