I am trying to create a report with drilldown sections and the first sections looks like this:

Dept. StatusCnt
------ -----------
A 4
B 15
C 25

The StatusCnt includes all status (active, closed, etc.)

What the customer is looking for is something like this:

Dept. Active Closed Pending
A 0 2 2
B 7 6 2
C 10 8 7

I currently have a grouping on the staus, but can't seem to figure out how to get it to display across the top. Any suggestions would be great!!

Thanks!!

Drilldown doesn't work quite like that. I assume you have a group on department. If you drilldown, you will see that only one instance of the group appears, not all groups.

You could just add a crosstab in the report footer that uses the dept as the row and the status as the column, or you could add an unlinked on-demand subreport in the department group section that would contain the same kind of crosstab and show you all departments. You could make the link text say "Click here to see a breakdown of status for all departments". Or you could place this in the report header or footer. This would open a new window of course.
