Hi there,

First of all, I am rather new to ASP so forgive any incorrect thing I may write

I am tryign to display date, title, body of article, picture out of a table.
I managed to display everything above storign the path of the picture and saving it on the server on a directory.
I now created a blob field in my table but I can't get to display the image out of it after inserting it.

Can anyone help me with a piece of code to retrieve images out of a Blob field or a good article to read?

Thank you for your time

Kappler, I should have mentioned that while your design is completely possible there are articles on msdn.microsoft.com that suggest that using database to store images is not as efficient as your first approach, i.e.: storing path in database and storing file on disk.

So unless your trying to protect your images, and really you can't anyway without using some client side techniques, there may not be a valid reason for using the database/blob approach.

good luck

I would like to access the same database from an intranet and a Internet site that are however completely separate so I tought that it would be better to avoid copying all images across and store on two separate servers in order to minimize backup procedures and synchrony problems.

I have been checkin out on displaying blobs and I think I will take your advice; it does look bloody complicated

Thanks mate
