I am new to indesign so please bare with me. I created a template and am able to import xml into that template. My question is how do i display images with indesign? I am currently passing in the path of the image...,will that work or is there something else I have to do?

Freak, are you importing the XML into pre-tagged frames or just into the structure view?

So you're saying that images in the XML import are not showing up in the frames that have been tagged to contain them?

xml is passing the path of the image. I can tag an element to display the actual string but how do i get indesign to retrieve the image from the specified path and display it?

Does anybody know how to do this? do i need a special control in indesign?

I think this is an xml problem not indesign, I think you should try to find out what the correct notation in xml is

hi

if you import to one story - use my ReplaceInline script from AdobeShare

you only need to have all images/eps/pdf in same folder as document (or in sub folder) - images.eos/pdf don't need paths, only name with extension
