Displaying data in groups

Hi All,

I have the data as below.

col a col b
sep 2007 100002
Oct 2007 100001
Oct 2007 100003
Aug 2008 100004
Aug 2008 100005

In the report I have grouped on cola and I am displaying the colb according to the group on cola. I have kept colb in details and supreesd it with drilldown ok. Now for example if I click on Oct 2007 I am able to see colb tetails as 100001, 100003. What I want to see is all the previous months accts till the month the user clicks on. cola is grouped and sorted ascending.

Ex: If user clicks on Oct 2007, he should be able to see the accounts 100002,100001,100003.

Please let me know.

What is the basis for this statement? Based on the sample data provided,the user should see 100001 and 100003 only.

Also are you suppressing the entire details section, or just col b? Col B should not be suppressed at all, if it is and you drill down, you will never be able to see it.

I am soory, I am not supressing colb but checked the option hide drilldown ok.

This meance all the data from the previous groups including the group the user clicked. I also included 100002 in there because that is from the group Sep 2007 which is prior to Oct 2007, so that acct(100002) should be shown when Oct 2007 is clicked in the same way if Aug 2008 is clicked all the accounts from previous groups and accts from Aug 2008 also should be displayed.

Ex:

Display 100002 when Sep 2007 is clicked.
Display 100002,100001,100003 When Oct 2007 is clicked.
Display 100002,100001,100003,100004,100005 when Aug 2008 is clicked.

That is not the way drill down works in Crystal. when you drill down you do so on a single group. I do not know of a way to do this.

I know that the grouping in crystl doesn't work that way but I was wondering if there is way to achieve this in crystal.

You could have a parameter set up that would display details conditionally.
