Hi, Newbie to excel here.
I have written a small spreadsheet with several simple calculations in it. Is it possible to show the calculations in the cells rather than just the results of the calcs?
Any help will be gratefully received. Many thanks

You have 2 possibilities:

- format cell as text, in that case the cell will be a text, not the result of calculation. Instead formatting, you can use apostroph to mark text, i.e.: '=2+2

- display formulas. Select Tools > Options, and in the View tab mark option 'Formula'. This will work for the whole sheet, the value of cell will be the result of calculation.

Thanks Combo, thats great :) Many thanks
