Displaying average, max, min of a particular record field

How can I display stats (average, max, and min) of a certain record field in the report header? For example if this is the data in my table and I wanted the stats on the Age field:

FirstName LastName Age
Bob Smith 56
John Brown 45
Jim White 27

The "Total" tap in the report expert does not give me the results I want. It groups all the data in the report and then applys the average, max, min, etc. to that. If anyone could answer this question, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Try highlighting you field and clicking the "sum" icon. (to the right of the ab.

I am not sure exactly what you are trying to accomplish, but I think your answer will be there.
