This is not technically VBA.

How do I get the MouseOver to work at RunTime - I hover the mouse pointer over a value and ....... nothing.

Is there an option that I need to switch on to get this working? - it's becoming a REAL pain to have to keep adding a Watch to see a value.

What happens in other office applications (word, powerpoint)?

The same.

What is the windows version? Check screen settings (view>advanced>label: font, size, colour).

Windows 2000 Version 5.0 (Build 2195: Service Pack 4)
I don't have a "view>advanced" anywhere that I can find.

Do you have access to the registry?

No, blocked.

Go to tools/references and make sure nothing is selected. save and close

I've already tried that and there was no changed, tried it again, still the same...

Thanks anyway.

Contact the administrator, get the administrative rights and check what is going on now.
In the registry find the path:
[tt]HKEY_CURRENT_USER
|_Software
|_Microsoft
|_VBA
|_6.0
|_Common[/tt]
and check the AutoValueTips2 value - should be 1.

I have had the same frustrating experience as JA3395 - Worse still, I know it had been working all along and the few times it did not it was enough to close Excel altogether and voilá, up and running when Excel and VBA were back up.
Now I am having the same issue (XP and Excel 2003)and I have tried everything in this thread so far.
But I still can find no clear cut solution. Thank you all for your input.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem.

But I still can find no clear cut solution.
Maybe someone will eventually find the solution and post it here. I for one will be eternally grateful!
