I need to display the first 100 records in Crystal Reports 10 without using a parameter. How can I do this?

Thanks

You could use a suppression formula like:

recordnumber > 100

Or, you could use "Add command" as your datasource, and limit the number of records returned to the report. However, the syntax for this varies by datasource.

This works if there is only one record for each line I want to display, but what if there are 2 or more records for each line and I want to show the top 100 regardless of how many lines it may be.

Thanks for your quick response.

There is always only one record per detail row. The record/detail row may result in multiple lines, but will still be counted only once.

If you are trying to limit the display to the first 100 lines (not detail rows), then you'd need a different approach.
