After installing pcAnywhere 10.5 on my PC, the display becomes 600x480 and in 4-bit resolution. All my attempts to set it to a higher resolution failed. Any tips?

This usually occurs because of an incompatibility between pcAnywhere and the video card driver.

You might uninstall PCA, update to the latest video driver, then reinstall PCA.

You didn't state which OS or video card you have. The following Symantec document might be of assistance:

Title: 'Windows 2000 restarts with 256 colors and 640x480 resolution after installing or uninstalling pcAnywhere 10.x'
Document ID: 2001043015494512

FYI, PCA 11.0 is scheduled to be release June 13, 2003. Almost all video related issues to date for pcAnywhere have been eliminated in this version.

Hope this helps.
