Hi, I am very new to Actuate and currently, I've been trying to figure out how to display a pop-up message box when a user clicks on a point in a graph. Is it possible to display a message box in Actuate? Please help... thanks

Vivien

Hi:

You can use msgbox function. Ex. msgbox "Test Message" will prompt a message box with the message in Code.

Please be aware that don't use msgbox function in your report if you are going to place the report on the report server. The report will definitely fail in the server.

If you still want something like a popup window, try using the BallonHelp and HelpText Property.

Thanks

Thanks Arun,
However, is it possible that the graph can pick up a specific point plotted in the graph which is clicked by a user and in turn return a more detailed information. So, it's something like dynamic graph... is that possible in actuate 5? How do i go about doing it? Please guide..
