What i need to do to display spanish on my page. I m reading the data from access tables (Spanish text) but when i display it from my page it displays it in english (it discards special tones etc of the language)

Thanks in advance !!!

Are you absolutely sure the text in the database has the characters correct? I never had a problem displaying "tones" as you put it and I have created online spanish, latin, and french placement tests that were simply reading text questions from a flat file and all the characters displayed fine...

Ok here is a link to a copy on my local machine. The french test has text with accents starting with question 9 so it may be the quickest to get to. Sorry for any load times, this is a slightly older version from before I convinced them to go to mp3 instead of wav (the spanish text had an 8 Mb wav in the middle of the test, people kept complaining that the test was broken)

This was written quite a while ago and I actually don't remember how it got on the hard drive of this machine, but here is the link:

Select french, fill in some information (it doesn't have to be real) and zip through to question 9 (french) or 11 (spanish)

Also, I wrote this a little while ago so it's probably not NS4.7 compatible(I was in an NS free phase of my life), should be IE5.0+ and possibly NS6+ compatible.
