Monrovia,

I'm having the same problem. I have (4) DBC 223 phones, all R3B that have come back from repair for displays that have gone blank. We had sent them to an advanced Ericsson/Aastra partner for repair and they come back labeled "unrepairable" with no explanation why. There's another common denominator- they all have the same manufacturer date of 20050914 . You might want to check the bottom of your phones and see if there's a match. The other weird phenomenon is- the display starts to show erroneous characters in I believe the lower right corner. When you try to correct the problem, by unplugging the phone and plugging back in, you end up with a grid on the display showing blue and gray patterns. We've already seen others starting to develop this problem, with the characters in the display so, we don't touch them!
We're trying to get an answer from our Aastra representative, if it's anything concrete, I'll post again to this thread.

yes exactly ctcop!! this is the same scenario with me tooo
only one difference, the manufacturing date is 20051202. rest of all is the same.
I still didn't send it to ericsson/astra for reparing, cause of the long procedure in my organization.

lets hope you will get a good answer from Astra.

Hi Monrovia

Hope you are well, have you tried upgrading the phones yet?
What is the ELU32 FW revision?
Are you using POE switches, and if so, what make and model?

Maybe the more phones you add the bigger the load on the switch?
Put the latest Boot and application on youre IIS server(SW Server).

DBC 223 is a Digital telephone set, no POE or connection to an ELU32 board.

Sorry I misread, do you have the latest FW for the phones?
Also what is your revision ELU28, have You upgraded the EEPROMS?
