Hi All,

Is it possible to display the database name in the report?

I have a report that shows employee entitlement and the data could come from one or more databases - the user selects the db in vb.net.

I can't see a way of getting at this.
Any help appreciated.

TIA,

Alan.

Perhaps you can share what type of database you're using since you're asking about databases.

I often do this using a SQL Expression as I'm not using external code, try reading up on those.

Another means used is to return it in the SQL used as the query.

Since you're using vb.net, you could also set a parameter or text label or formula in Crystal from vb.net.

Cheers for that.

Sorry I meant to say I was use MS SQL 2000 with a stored procedure as my datasource.

I think the sp rules out using a SQL Expression, but doing it from vb.net sounds like the best plan for me.

Thanks again,

Alan.
