Display BLOB image in oracle forms 6

Hi,

Can anyone please help me display a BLOB image in forms 6.
We are running a 9i server and an 8i client.

I have created a data block on forms but when I execute the query I get the following error...

ORA-00904: "DOC_IAMGE": invalid identifier

Please help...pretty new at this...

Is DOC_IAMGE correct field name?

And of course, if you use Forms, your client version is not newer than 8.0.6

Oooopss...my bad... I just created a quick form to get the error... seems like I got the wrong one...

Here is the propper error...

ORA-00932: inconsistent datatypes: expected got

I have also created a report, and the image is visible in the report

What kind of item do you use to display it? And what version (exactly) do you use? I didn't try it against 9i, but with 8/8i it works.

Hi Dima...

We have just upgraded the database to 9i and we are using forms 6.0.
I have loaded the images using dbms_lob.loadfromfile.
When I create a report the image is visible but the form does not work.

Try to look for latest patches. I can reproduce it on 6, though currently don't work with it.
