Hi All,

Is there a way to display all of the formulas that are created in a particular report? Both used and not used.

Cheers

Export the report. Under export format, choose 'report definition'. This creates a .txt file that documents the report including grouping, sorting, tables used, linking and formulas.

I do not know if this includes unused formulas. This is an unusual request, why are you asking about unused formulas?

Software Sales, Training, Implementation and Support for Macola, eSynergy, and Crystal Reports

Check the field explorer. Formulas used in a report will have a check mark.

kskid,

Thanks for trying but that was not what i wanted. Once again thanks anyways.

dgillz,

Cheers for the tip, but it didnt actually export the forumlas themselves.

What i want is a way to export the formula name and the actual formula as well to have in a document.

A report definition file will export all formulas on the report canvas, drop them all on and run it again.

You alkso might try Report Inspector (Advertised above here). I went to look but the site is purdy fluffy, and though they mention their products' documentatIon capabilities, they don't have anything about what it does on the web page, an oversight I guess, everything else has some basic sales info (reading this Software Forces???).

and check out:

for other products along these lines.
