Display a file pdf

We need to display a PDF file when a user clicks on a button. This is a technical information. Any idea how I can do it?

I'm confused?

You want the report to be output in PDF when you click on it, or you want a certain pdf document to be brought up when the user clicks on a button?

What version of Cognos are you using?

Just insert a html-item in your report an insert a link to the pdf file.

or

if your would run a report as pdf make a drillthrough to it and configure run as pdf in the drillthrough options.
