Running W2k SP3 . Cannot access this check box in Device Manager/Drives/(my C:\ drive)/Properties. Also in Administrative Tools/Computer Management/Storage/Disk Management the disk label name "MASTER (C:)" is not shown although it does show for my D:\ drive "Slave (d:)" and my Zip250, and there is no partition information (it is an NTFS partition). Status shows as healthy, but also says there is 100% Free Space. This 40 GB drive is about 1/3 full. I can access and run all my programs,

Can anyone help me solve this problem.

can you run a checkdisk against the problematic disk?
what is the results?

I think that the best solution is to backup all the data from this disk, then completely reformat it. If it is not possible , probably you need to see if there is OK with the physical disk connections, viruses on that and Win2k HCL.
Try to access the disk from the DOS. (use DOS boot disk with NTFS support) The same results? If so, replace the disk.

Victor, Thank you for your suggestions. Fortunately I have GoBack installed and I reverted to a spot free from all the problems I wrote about. Disk Management now reports everything correctly.
