Hi,
I have a winnt domain running NAVCE 7.6.
Some servers are having performance problems ( IO = Excessive disk reads). This issue just stops running when i stop the Norton Antivirus services ( NAV. Intel ...etc)

Does anyone knows how to fix this problem?

HI.

Some ideas:

For servers, I normaly congire NAV to only scan "modified" files and not "on create". I think that this is also the NAV default.

Check for scheduled scans on the server - by default NAV addes a weekly scan. You can remove or redefine this scan using SSC (right click the server object there, not only the group).

What functions does that server have - for example if this is an Exchange server, you have to exclude some folders from the scanner.

Make sure you have the latest SP6a on the servers.

Any related info in the Event Viewer?

Do you know what exact service or process is causing the problem?

Bye
