Here is the scenario: I have a Windows NT Server 4.0 machine which has a 4GB C partition and a 14Gb D partition. I want to add more disk space to the existing C partition without damaging any of the existing files there. I know you can achieve this using partiton magic but is their any native features in Windows NT disk administrator that would allow me to do that. Thanks guys and gals!

Unfortunately Disk Administrator is not going to allow you to do this. As you thought you will have to use a 3rd party application like Partition Magic. And remember the boot partition in NT cannot be larger than 7.8 gigs and you must be service pack 4 or above to boot with it larger than 4 gigs.

Thanks buddy I figured that, I almost made the mistake of thinking about doing a volume set between the C and D partitions but I realized that both partitions had to be empty in order for that to happen. I didn't know that the boot partition in Windows NT only supports 7.8 GB and no more. Thanks for the good tip. I have partition magic 7 I'm going to work with that. Thanks man.

My company has one NT4 server with two hard disks set up as mirror. First bootable HD has two partitions C (2GB)and partition D (18 Gb). The hidden mirror HD is 30 GB (use 20 GD only because mirror setup). Now, the first HD partition D space is almost full. How can I break the mirror set and replace the 20 GB HD with a new 30 GB and reset a new mirror set without data lost.
