Disk Space Problems in Root

Hello,

Have been trying to run a Netbackup restore from windows and the most files got restored in root partition which used up all disk space in root. Currently root is 5Gig.

I have removed these files but I'm sure I had more space than before as it was only 2% utilised , currently its 65% used and I'm not sure what has caused this and how to restore the space back.

I think its the /proc directory thats using up disk space but not sure ...

try to do du -dk on root partition...this will look up all the space utilized by all the local directory and not the nfs directories...this will obviously be in kb..and from there you could track your culprit...let me know if this works...

managed to find problem Netbackup restored files under /C directory , deleted these and back to normal...
