I know that Windows 2003 Performance Monitor can be used to send out alerts if spare disk space becomes low, but I am after a tool that will let me monitor disk space by folders over time.
On a busy network, you may suddenly notice that server disk space is low when you were sure that a month ago it was fine (as I have just done). The issue is not the total usage , but is anything growing exceptionally fast, so a snapshot doesn't easily tell you the full story.
A tool which makes daily scans, stores them and then allows me to see growth over time and to be able to drill down to see individual folder growth would be really useful.
Is there such a tool?
Thanks.
