Probably not the forum fo rthis but I didn;t see anywhere else that seemed a better fit:

Anyone have any experience with 3rd party disk quota management software for Windows 200/2003 file servers? Here's what I ned to do:

1) Set different size threasholds for different groups of users at the group level

2) Also be able to set size threshollds at the user level

3) Be able to send users various types of warnings (email/popup etc) at different percentages of space consumption (ie - popup at 80%, email at 90% and both at 100%) Messages should be able to be modified to fit the situation

4) Be able to block/allow different file types (ie - block mp3s for all users but allow some groups to store jpg files)

5) This might be a stretch - but when notified - I'd like to be able to let the user know the oldest files (candidates for deletion to make space) or largest files they could remove to make room and get under quota.

The 2 pieces of software I have narrowed down to are:

SpaceGuard SRM and Northern Quote Server.

Anyone have any experience with either or another product?

Thanks...

JB
