Does anybody know if there is a way to determine if a computer drive is formatted in NTFS or FAT, withing qbasic?

Nevermind, I figured it out.

For future reference. Use SHELL "ver" to determine what version of DOS you have. If it returns "Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]" then it is NTFS, else FAT

Bad idea. Windows XP can run on FAT partitions, and many windows 98 upgrades use it. The best hackish way, aside from actually reading the partition table (which would be hard, make no mistake, and would almost certainly require ASM to access), you should be able to use chkdsk to determine the FAT or NTFS-ness of the hard drive under NT/2k/XP.
