I've been using Norton 2001 on my Pc for defraging the files. My pc spec is AMD 200 Mhz, 128 MB RAM, 25 Gig hard disk, S3 verge graphics card. I've been using Norton speed for quite some time now cos its much better than windows disk defrag. Recently i've had some problems with it. when i run it it keeps on re-starting. it does about 30% then speed disk restarts. I then tried windows disk defrag. same problem. I then everything that was running except Taskmoniter, System tray and USSSHREG but still the same problem. Can you help?

Disk Defrag problem

Shut down unnecessary programs as above, then run Filemon. This will show in realtime anything that is accessing or writing to the HD and may reveal the culprit.
