Disk check

For some reason, I am unable to get through the 2nd phase of the Disk Check. All it states is that it is unable to complete the disk check...without telling me any errors at all. I am able to check my other drive without problems, this only happens on my C drive. I have also run the hard drive boot disk and it found no errors on that drive at all.
Any ideas?

Any chance you can give us a better idea here? Windows Scandisk won't work? Norton won't scan? Ontrack doesn't finish? SpinRite stops? HELP us help you.

Sorry bout that...frustration was setting in. Let give you better information. Its Windows Scan that wont run all the way through. I always scan and defrag once a week, this time it won't get through the second phase while checking. I have even tried running chkdsk through the dos prompt with the same results...always just about through the second phase of checking and then its gone. I have tried doing the same in safe mode with the same results and even ran a virus check. The thing that gets me is that no matter what I do...it just keeps saying "unable to complete disk check" and thats it. I have checked the Event Viewer as well...and nothing different shows up there. There does not seem to be anything wrong with the way any programs are running, and I can even defrag as normal. Let me know if I can tell you anything else, I hope this helps
