Disk Administrator Access denied

I have sevral machines that were set up by personnel who have left. What is occurring is on items that need admin privileges I am being told I do not have permission to perform the task such as Disk Administrator. I have Domain Admin priveleges and also I have tried to log on locally ad the admin with the same result. I have checked User Manager and I am in the local administrators group/Can any give me a clue where I need to look to see or change the permissions so I can access the Disk Administrator.

Found the answer on Microsofts Knowledge base article Q264910. It involves DCOM
