What's the quickest way to discover which loop (I have 9) to the PSTN is my Primary Clocking? I believe that might be my issue. Every morning I discover 560-630 slips a day from the majority of my PSTN loops, but not all. But, every loop effected has the exact same number of slips.

Thank you both. The PREF is the on loop I don't have slips on? What could be my issue. My switch or telco?

typically it's the Telco... what type of switch do you have?

you need to look for something common for those loops inhouse.. i would think telco only after i did my homework. are the bad loops back to the pstn or ties to other sites?

I have 2 PRIs to my Shoretel remote offfices---Clean
I have a fractional P-P---Clean
I have 6 T1s/PRIs to the CO that run aprox. 600 slips a day,(but exact same on all).
I have 1 PRI that is my PREF---Clean.

How is this possible?

You don't have a cook recorder near any of the cabling or CSU's do you? I have see external equipment cause issues with T1 circuits, specifically the cook recorder. When you hear it click we would get a slip.

I would contact your telco with your findings....

No Cook recorders, nothing changed in switch room. Just started 2 weeks ago.

Is there anything in the switch I'm missing? There is no Secondary Reference, It's Free Run. Should I have a Secondary Reference?

Make sure your primary clock is locked on a LEC provided PRI and not a local TIE PRI.

Qwest tester calls me last night and claims they did intrusive tests on all circuits and couldn't find anything.

Surprise, surprise, I come in this morning and ALL circuits are clean, nothin' but zeros. Now, isn't that coincidental?

Thanks for all advice.

Would you mind posting your cequ, ddb, and the versions of the clock cards that you are using.
Also what type of cards are you using for the various ckts
(dual pri, qpc, etc).
