I post wildlife photos on my website using the Photo Gallery feature. I want people to be able to view them, but not copy them.

Does anyone know of any method(s) that I can use to prevent, or at least make it difficult for a user to copy the photos?

Thank you.

There are JavaScripts that will disable the right click; however, this is terribly annoying to your visitors who may use right click for other means. If you want one of those, visit
However, I have found a method that does discourage people from using the photos on other Web sites. I use an image program to put a frame around the photo. Usually if people want to use it on another site, they just want the photo not the border--and most don't know how to remove it. I have had photos from my site used on others--but only ones that didn't have the borders.

Another option would be to add some text on the image, changing the opacity of the text to something quite low until it doesn't interfere with the photo, but would still "mark" your image. You would want to do this in a graphics program.

simple. save your image in another place for yourself.

on the website cut it in pieces and assemble it in a table.
use photoshop, or sth...

hope this helps :)
