Hi All,

I want to automatically disconnect InfoView users after x minutes of inactivity. This is because we have a limited number of concurrant user licenses, and most users 'forget' to log off after running a report.

Is there a setting where I can specify the number of minutes before they are disconnected.

I am new to CR Server 2008, so any help would be greatly appreciated...

Many thanks

Best Wishes to all

Roger

There are a couple of files you can update to configure timeouts. If you're using the Java version of InfoView, look for a web.xml in a subfolder of the InfoViewApp folder in the Tomcat Web Content folder. There are timeouts in there. For the .NET version of InfoView, I believe the file name is web.config, but I don't remember for sure.

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.

Thanks Hilfy,

I'll have a look at this today.....

Best Regards

Roger
