For compliance reasons we are using a forwarding ext to record message wav files that are emailed to a backup server. When we diconnect from the forwarded extension the recording does not stop. Any idea on how to stop this recording and still continue the conversation?

Thanks....Russ

why would you need to use a forwarding extension to record message wav files ? It doesn't make sense

Were not very savvy at using ip office and this was a quick solution. We tried using the recording option and found that we could not figure out that we could not group all recording together. each recording was resident on each users phone. so this was a quick fix.

I'm open to other ideas.

Thanks...Russ_ez

In each user under recording you should have the option to select where manual & automatic recordings are saved

Version 2.1 or higher. Only problem if you put all the recordings to one singular mailbox is that you don't know who recorded it, only the caller id and time/date stamp

Would I at least see the extension, date and time stamp?

Thanks....Russ_ez
