Disconnecting an IVR device from a conference

When I add an IVR device to a conference, I cannot disconnect it once the conference is over other than physically resetting the device. In this case the IVR device is a phone coupler going to a Riedel intercom system. I read you can make a short code with the extension number and set a time for it to reset or I can disconnect it through system status. Is there another way I can hang up the device from a user extension once it's in the conference? Thanks

transfer the conference call to a system phone then select the user from the conference and then drop them.
