Hi

I have a server which is in Remote Administration mode ( the one that allows 2 RDP sessions max plus console). Now if a user gets disconnected and then they try to connect again. They can do this fine but a different RDP session is created, so they have their current one and the disconnected session.

Is there any reason why they can't connect back to their disconnected session? I know there is a setting to log off disconnected sessions after x minutes but wanted to know why they this happens. The server is behind a firewall for info purposes.

Thanks

J

It's not really an answer to your question as I don't know why it happens but have found it a little annoying to have been disconnected from a session where I was working. So after connecting to a new session determine the session number of the disconnected session (from task manager maybe).
Then go to Start => Run then type in "tscon # , where # is the number of the disconnected session and you will be reconnected to your original session.

Hope that helps
