Hi!

I have a couple of phones (M2006 and M3110) that i have problems with. When i try to answer a incomming call it becomes disconnected and i get a idle tone in phone and the caller gets busy tone. Is there anything i can do with these phones to get them working again?

Oh man it could be so many things, like problem with timesolts or with ESN...

You can use LD80 to trac the line:
LD 80
ENTC xx xx xx xx TTTT
GOTR (trac over a time period "TTTT")

or
LD 80
TRAC xx xx xx xx

or
LD 80
TRAC 0 xxxx

Try to find any things that can give you a good indication

I forgot to mention that when i replace the phones with another M2006 or M3110 everything is ok. So i guess the problem is related to the phone?

// JJL

Yea, thats the problem you just have to replace the phone.
I do not work with the M3110 but there is nothing you can do with the M2006 just replace it. Be carefull where you buy your meridian phone because some retailer can sell you repaint or "supposed repair" ones.

one thing to check with rebuilt phones, make sure the idu command shows the right chip set. when i took this site on they had around a hunbred 2616's with 2008 chip sets, one of 20 reasons this switch didn't want to stay up..

Can you tell me how to use idu command please?

// JJL

ld 32
idu x x x x

or

idu x x in the 11

that is a usefull command

another command that remains hidden is ld 117

inv generate sets

you will see a inv complete after a few minutes to a few hours, you don't have to stay in the load of logged in.

then

ll7
inv prt sets

that will idu each phone in the switch and give you the programed as plus the chip id. it will also let you find sets that are unplugged. i use the inv generate midnight command to produce a report each day. once a week i catch all the volunteer telephone techs on site that love to move phones.. i also out every unplugged set i can find. that keeps my license free and cleans up the software. i keep a soft copy of the set, but release the did number back to the pool. with 10,000 did's on site, we are runnig out.
