Disconnect Issues on MICS

I have several customers who have an MICS 6.1 or newer and Call Pilot 3.0. They each use the phone company CBeyond. My issue is the disconnect is not timing properly between the MICS/Call Pilot and the phone service.

When a caller finishes leaving a voicemail, you can hear the caller hang up, but then it just leaves a busy signal for several seconds after each message.

If a caller gets into the voicemail system and hangs up, then the abandoned call rings the operator and leaves 3 minutes worth of busy signal.

I attempted to have CBeyond change the hook flash from 750ms to 150ms, but that did not make a difference.

I'm not sure what to change or where to go from here. Any help would be great!

Thanks,
Melinda

did we set timer on n* to match telco...did we set trunk mode to supervised....do you have same problem with a butt set....

Not sure how to do the match with Telco. What items need to be matched?

One of the locations is a new phone system on an existing circuit. They had a CICS before with a Flash, but did not have this issue...if that helps.

Thanks!

Okay, thank you. I did change the disconnect timer to 60 which is what the phone company told me was the setting. That did not make a difference. When I changed the mode from unsupervised to supervised, the AA stopped picking up.

Any other ideas?

Thank you!

cbeyond is a voip service provider...are u sure they are providing disconnect supervision?...can you get disconnect correctly on a butt set???the norstar doesnt provide it ...norstar recognizes it...460 disconnect timer is a default that works almost all the time "since 1995 i have not had to change once"

if it occurs on butt set then its the providers problem

The trunk mode has to be Supervised in order for supervision to work.

Telco is not providing disconnect. If it does not disconnect with buttset then it is a telco issue just like serviceboy states.

Thank you all for your help. It was the supervision that was the issue. I didn't realize the card rebooted after the programming change, so I didn't give it enough time to come back up when I was testing it.

Changing from unsupervised to supervised did the trick.

Thank you!
