Disconnect from Cisco VPN

I have several users, 21, that connect to a Cisco PIX 506E Firewall. While connected to the VPN, 12 of the users use a Nortel SoftPhone(i2050). Three of the phone users get disconnected at exactly 1:30PM everyday. The three users can reconnect to the VPN but they can not reconnect to the softphone until the next day.

I'm not sure that this is a cisco vpn issue rather than a nortel problem... Have you verified resources to your ip phones? Are the same three clients having problems?

What makes you say it is the Nortel phone?

Your symptoms indicate the problem pointing to the softphones---they get disconnected at the same time, but can reconnect, but not with the softphone. This takes the PIX out of the equation because they not only are able to reconnect (aside from connecting with the softphones), but the fact they get disconnected at the same time every day---there is only one remote possibility that the PIX has a kron configuration...please post a show run from the PIX...here is what I mean about kron (like in UNIX)...

I realize I'm reaching here... but could something, perhaps running from cron, as Burt suggests, be causing you to run out of user-licenses or other resources (cpu) on the PIX?

Actually, it does look like the failure to resume a VPN connection is due to some sort of timeout...we really need a show run from the PIX to try to match any config statements to the IP address of the three devices affected here. Dtrtel, that is a good thought, though...you may be on the right track. But we do need to see a config.
