I have a problem with a document im working on. noticed when i printed my document that after page 12 came page 14, there is no page 13 at all, it doesnt appear as a blank page on the print preview. I tried changing to normal view, and noticed that there was a section break there, so I tried deleting that, and it jumped all of my page numbers up into the twenties for some reason! If anyone can help me id appreciate it!!!

I assume that there is some text on page 13!!

I can't explain why this problem is occurring but a work round might be to use File>Print and when the Print dialog box appears insert the following in the 'Pages' section:

'1-12,13,14-'

Hi, I've seen this before and the solution I found was:

Move your cursor to the very top of the page below the section break.

On the menu bar choose File/Page Setup then choose Layout.

Have a look under section start and see if it says something like even page or new page. If so change it to continuous and it should hopefully fix the problem.

There are several instances when this can happen.

My guess is that you need to go the section break at page 14 and under headers and footers set the header and footer to be "Same as previous" unleass you have different header and/or footer for this section. Then you have to approach it differently.

Hope this cures your problem. Else we will have to take other action.

Thanks for everyones help. Unfortunately none of these things worked for me :( I cant use the workaround because i'll be printing the page numbers, meaning that there still wouldnt be a page 13.

All fixed up and sent back.

In section 3 what you needed to do is go to Insert, Page Numbers, Format and choose "Continue from Previous Section"
