Hi, does anybody know if there is a way to disable particular users (not the whole company) from connecting or using internal or external e-mail? We are using Exchange 5.5 and Outlook 2000.

Any help would be appreicated. ----------------------------------------
Experience is a wonderful thing. It enables you to recognise a mistake when you make it again.

which one do you want? to disable a user completely you can hide them from the address book. to disable sending internet mail, add their mailbox to the reject list on your IMC. to disable receiving email, remove their SMTP address.

I would ideally like to disable them from sending or receiving any mail, full stop! Bascially disabling their account so they cannot use Outlook or Exchange.

We have a few users that tend to use the e-mail client considerably more than do their work but I don't want to stop all users from using it.

Thanx

If you want the user to use e-mail, but limit their use to internal only and drop external e-mail then you can goto their properties, e-mail addresses and remove the smtp address leave only x400.
