I'm tryin to work on a 45MB spreadsheet and my machine consistantly hangs during a recalc. I've got plenty of memory...when I used Excel 2000 I was able to disable the undo feature and that seemed to help whe working with huge files...is that feature still available in 2003 (I can't seem to find it)?

Thanks,
David

come again....what's the relationship between undo and re-calc?

Did you mean turn off automatic re-calc?

We've turned off the auto-recalc. Our thought is leaving undo enabled creates multiple "versions" in memory so you can undo, and that's causing the problem.

BTW, Thanks. Learned something new today.
