Hi Guys. I would like to know if there is away either through IP Manager or at the set to disable t headset button so that when it is pushed nothing happens?

Thanks.

No way. It is hardcoded and connot be disabled. Just don't push that button, can't be that hard.

In the 46xxsettings.txt you could try to add

SET BUTTON_MAPPINGS Headset=na

You need a 1608 to make it work :)

The reason that we want to do this is: We have a 1408 set in our business lobby for our customers to use for local calls. It seems one of our customers had a "fat" finger and hit the headset button which then grab a line. We couldn't figure why this line was in use when none of our people were on the phone. By checking we discovered the "fat" finger mistake on the lobby phone.

Thanks for the suggestions! I like the super glue one (LOL).

Just put a 1403 in (shudder), we don't sell them typically but this is exactly what they are designed for :)

Or glue it so that it won't work anymore.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!
