I recently received a request from the customer to turn off the mute ability for the ringer. After scouring the web and here I didn't see anything that supported the endeavour.
To reiterate, Customer is wanting to make it to where the end user cannot mute their ringer on a 9608.
What we've attempted is editing the 46xxsettings.txt file, line 5093, remove the "##" via Notepad++ and change the following value to one that is forementioned (tried all values 0-3) by the file.
During our testing rebooting the phone didn't force it to repull the 46xxsettings.txt file. This began "working" (as told by the customer, have not been on site to confirm) after we performed an upgrade from 9.1.5 to 10.0.0.4 for a customer. We "believe" that the reboot forced the file back out to update the phones.
After uploading the same file to our in house system (10.0.0.3) and rebooting, we were not able to replicate.
Anyone heard or attempted this?
**If this is already known and I just didn't see it, I apologize.
