Hi all, we recently installed a new Expo KDS touchscreen in our kitchen. We are running Micros RES 3700. When it was set up the tech made it so that when items were bumped from the expo KDS they would print off of the expo printer. We soon realized that we did not need the tickets to print at all and would rather just disable the expo printer all together. Simply unplugging the printer doesn't work as the KDS controller pops up with an error on the Expo KDS that it was unable to print the ticket. Is there any easy way that I can adjust the settings for the Expo KDS so that it won't send the ticket to the expo printer once it is bumped. I wasn't the one that set up the system, I've just been deemed the "tech guy" because I can generally figure stuff out with our Micros. This issue just seems to be escaping me.

Thanks in advance for any help!

In the configurator, go to Devices / Order Devices.
Select your Expo KDS, and go to the KDS / Printer Definition tab.
Remove the Primary Runner Chit Printer, (and secondary, if there is one)

Thanks for the help pmegan, I tried to follow your instructions, the problem I'm running into now is that when I try to remove the primary runner chit printer, there is a drop down menu in which I have to select a print device. There's no option to completely remove the device. Any other suggestions?

thanks

Use the eraser button at the top and erase the entry.

Click on that box so the printer is highlighted and press F2
