Good morning,
I am working with a report that I would like to have the user preview and print but then when they use the window close button on the upper right, I would like it to simply close the preview without saving any changes and without prompting the user if they would like to save the changes. I tried several things on the close and the deactivate events but neither fires before the default message that access is generating. Is there some way to turn that message off without disabling the button? Thanks for your help!

Just a thought here but have you gone into the coding module to see where it is set up on the reports close procedure, that it prompts the user to save changes?

There is no code on the report that is actually producing the message. Is there some sort of global reports close event that I am not aware of?

What I'm wondering is what kind of changes you can make in PrintPreview that would prompt Access to ask you to save or discard the changes? That doesn't seem logical. Are they bopping into ReportDESIGN mode momentarily?

Why not just use the Print Preview toolbar and tell the user to click the CLOSE button on it?

That's what it was...I was sending it to design mode when I didn't need to. Thanks so much!
