I need to be able to browse the web on a 2003 server.

I disabled the enhanced security entirely, but I am still having problems browsing the web. Some pages, like google, load fine, but I can't open search results. random domains seem to load, but others do not, and instead i get the "internet explorer cannot display the webpage page".

any ideas how to fix this so that I can navigate the web like a normal PC?

Thanks,
Rob

Check your network settings. Make sure DNS servers are correct. Also, see if Windows Firwall is enabled on the server.

it was the DNS settings - for the record I checked that before I saw your post, pgarliardo, but as you're right, you get yerself a star...

thx,
Rob
