Hello

I'm using the Crystal Report Viewer in VB.Net and using the default toolbar on the viewer. My reports come up just fine in preview, but when users export to any format, the viewer 'reruns' the report. This means users must wait for report to load into viewer & then again just to export. It also uses server resources I can't spare. Is there a way to disable the update when exporting and saving exactly what's in viewer?

Thanks in advance

Not sure I understand your meaning. The users select which report they want. Stored Procedures return the data and the report is shown in the Viewer. Then if they decide to export it, the Stored Procedures are reruning. I need to find a way to stop this second run.

Also, might as well mention my other problem... The above mentioned Stored Procedures run in Query Analyzer in seconds upto a couple minutes. In runtime using the Viewer the reports can take over 30 minutes to come up. Any ideas?

Thanks.

hi

ops depends on what server the report reside.
if a slow server then report will be slow.
I had the same problem with report running on ingress database and an other on sql server
the ingress would take about 3 mintes and then time out but the sql server bang it was done.
check your connection

cheers

Everything is running on SQL Server 200O and the same physical server box.
